Mark J. Homa
Producer
Born in Trenton, NJ, and raised in Falls Township, PA, Mark Homa — known as “Mo”, developed a strong foundation in leadership and community involvement early on. A standout athlete at Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, he lettered in football and played baseball while staying active in his local parish, St. John The Evangelist Church. Offered a Division 1 football scholarship upon graduation, Mo instead chose a path that would lead him to a dynamic career in television and media.
After earning a degree in Finance from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, Mo began his professional journey with CBS Inc., launching a decades-long affiliation with the CBS-Paramount Skydance family. His early roles at WCBS-TV in New York City and WCAU-TV in Philadelphia honed his skills in broadcast operations and media production. Following a period of caretaking, he returned to the industry with CBS Outdoor Sales under ViacomCBS, further expanding his expertise in media strategy and sales.
Mo’s passion for creative development flourished as he transitioned into television production. He partnered with White Collar Pictures in Pittsburgh, PA, where he began shaping original content and refining his producer’s eye.
His breakthrough came when he created the College Campus Cooking Series, an innovative concept that evolved into the long-running (24 years) hit TV show The Chef’s Kitchen. Today, College Campus Cooking reaches over 92 million households as a special edition, airing on platforms like NBC10+, Comcast, and You Too America.
A seasoned producer, Mo has secured organic placements for his work in prestigious settings, including The Smithsonian Museum – Washington, DC. His ability to blend creative vision with practical execution has made him an outstanding contributor to community & cultural competence.
Beyond television, Mo has served part-time in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, taking on roles like Materials Officer, which reflect his commitment to discipline and service. When not producing, Mo enjoys surf fishing, smoothbore, and rifled shooting — pastimes that fuel his energetic and hands-on approach to life and work.
